You can learn here step-by-step how to make subliminal messages with free recording software like Audacity. You need to do this on a laptop or desktop computer because Audacity doesn’t run on tablets and smartphones.

If you want to save time and ensure you make every kind of really good subliminal fast (including binaural beats), check out my review of excellent subliminal software after I’ve used it for more than a year.

Here are the simple steps for how to make subliminal messages:

  1. Write down your affirmations.
  2. Create your voice affirmations audio file with text to speech. Download the audio file.
  3. Choose your music or ambient sounds. Zapsplat Sounds, Free Sounds Library, BenSound.
  4. Download and install Audacity
  5. Import the affirmations audio into Audacity.
  6. Adjust the affirmations track to 44100 Hz.
  7. Download and import the subliminal.ny file into Audacity.
  8. Import your music or ambient sounds into Audacity.
  9. Export the combined tracks as a music file.

Notes

  • For your affirmations, decide what you want to accomplish with the subliminals.  Examples are getting more motivated, being more confident, being more productive, and so on.
  • For your music, it’s best to use relaxing or uplifting music that’s instrumental only with no lyrics.
  • Get organized by making a folder on your computer for subliminal audio and use it to save all of the files for this project in one place.

I saved a ton of time making my subliminal messages with excellent subliminal software.

How to Make Subliminal Messages for Free

1. Write Down Your Affirmations

First, decide what you want to accomplish or change. Then write your affirmations. Be sure to use positive statements to affirm what you want instead of using negative statements like “don’t”.

Examples

  • Be more positive minded.
  • Be more confident.
  • Eat healthier foods.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • ___________________.

Jot down affirmations for your objective and limit each subliminal recording to a theme using a few consistent affirmations. If your goal were to lose weight and be more fit, here are a few examples.

Examples

  • I am enjoying healthy foods.
  • I am happy exercising every day.
  • I am feeling magnificent because I eat healthier foods and exercise.
  • I am glad to keep a journal of everything I eat.

Seven principles for developing effective affirmations for subliminal messages.

  1. Begin with the words “I am.” They are the two most potent words in the English language.
  2. Use the present tense.
  3. Make it in a positive form. State what you want, instead of what you don’t want.
  4. Keep it short.
  5. Be specific.
  6. Use action words and emotion or feeling words.
  7. Focus on doing things and feeling things that result in achieving your objective.

2. Create Your Voice Affirmations and Download the Audio File

If you have a good microphone and want to do it yourself, then you can use any recording device to record your subliminal voice messages and save them on your computer.

The easiest and fastest way is to use fromtexttospeech.com.

  • Write your affirmations on a wordpad or other word document program.
  • Copy and paste your affirmations in the document several times so they repeat and save it in your folder.
  • Copy and paste your affirmations from the document into the box on fromtexttospeech.com.
Convert Your Text to a Speech File
  • Select voice
  • Click Create Audio File
  • Wait for your text to be made into speech.
  • Right-click “Download audio file” and download the audio file into the folder you made for this project.

After you make your subliminal affirmation messages you need to select some good music or ambient sounds for your subliminal audio.

3. Choose Your Music or Ambient Sounds

It’s important that you choose ambient sounds or music you enjoy. My first experience with subliminal tapes was terrible because I really disliked the music on the tapes. So, choose well!

YouTube is an excellent place to get ambient sounds or instrumental music that you can use for free. You can find music or ambient sounds in the YouTube audio library or from any of several free sources.

https://www.freesoundslibrary.com/ambient-sounds/

For me, the best genres for subliminal audio are:

  • Ambient
  • Cinematic
  • Classical

… and the best moods are:

  • Bright
  • Calm
  • Romantic
  • Inspirational

Go through and listen to different tracks until you find some you like. Download the ones you like into a special folder for this project so you can keep everything together.

Don’t worry about the length of the audio music or ambient sounds because you can copy and loop to make your recording longer.

Now you should have your music or ambient sound files and your affirmation audio file ready to go. Now you need to install Audacity.

4. Download and Install Audacity

Download and install Audacity to make subliminal messages.

Go to “Audacity” and click on the “Download” link.

Click on the blue box to download for your computer type of Windows, Mac OS or Linux.

Then install the Audacity program and start it up.

5. Import Affirmations Audio Into Audacity

Click on File, Import, Audio and import affirmations file you downloaded from texttospeech.com

Select and Import Affirmation File

Select your audio file in your folder and click Open.

Select and Import Affirmation File

6. Adjust the Affirmations Track to 44100 HZ

Change the frequency to 44100

Click Tracks, Resample.

Change Frequency to 44100 Hz

Select 44100 Hz and click OK.

Change Frequency to 44100 Hz

7. Download and Import Subliminal.ny File Into Audacity

Now you will apply the subliminal.ny file to your affirmation voice track to make it subliminal.

NOTE: Updated Audacity Program 2.4.2 has NYQUIST PROMPT in the TOOLS Tab.

  • Click Tools and Nyquist Prompt.
  • Delete the highlighted text (PRESS DELETE on your keyboard). There might not be any highlighted text. If so, skip this step.
  • Click on Load then Yes.
  • Click on the subliminal.ny file and click Open.
  • Click OK and another box pops up.
  • Click OK again.

So now your audio voice affirmations have been converted to a subliminal frequency. Now you will import your ambient sound or music to combine with the subliminal message.

8. Import Your Music or Ambient Sounds into Audacity

  • Import your ambient sound or music file into Audacity. Click File, Import, Audio.
  • Select your file and click Open.

Once you have imported the music track into Audacity, you’ll most likely find that the subliminal track is much shorter than the music track.

Select the subliminal track with your mouse cursor and copy it.

Then paste it repeatedly front to end until the tracks are about the same length.

After copy and paste the tracks should be similar lengths.

9. Export the Combined Tracks as a Music File

  • Click in File, Export ,Export as MP3.
  • Name and Save the file.
  • Click File, Close, and No to finish.

Now your subliminal audio is probably a little short. You can import the file again and copy and paste it to make it longer. Then export the file again.

That’s it! Now you have a subliminal resource you can play on any device that plays MP3 recordings.

How to Make Silent Subliminals

Making silent Subliminals is easier than making regular subliminal audio. A silent subliminal is an audio recording that has no apparent sound but has a subliminal track.

You can make it by following the same instructions in this article and eliminating the part where you add ambient sounds or music. Here’s how it would go:

  1. Write down your affirmations.
  2. Create your voice affirmations audio file with text to speech. Download the audio file.
  3. Download and install Audacity
  4. Import the affirmations audio into Audacity. Adjust the affirmations track to 44100 Hz.
  5. Download and import the subliminal.ny file into Audacity.
  6. Copy and paste the track until it’s as long as you like.
  7. Export the track as an MP3 file.

That’s it! You would then have a silent affirmation subliminal track in MP3 format. When you play the track, you wouldn’t consciously hear it.

Below is a list of more resources you can use to take advantage of subliminal technologies to improve your life and achieve your goals.

Best wishes in your pursuit of health, wealth, and happiness!
